Love tacos, but can do without the the hustle and bustle of going to a sit-down restaurant. You know, the waiting for the hostess to great and seat you. Waiting for your server to show up at your table. Waiting for your order to be taken and then for it to arrive. We have the perfect solution: there is most certainly and awesome Central Florida Taco truck near you.
From Gainesville to Orlando ( and even Daytona), we've been on a Taco Truck Tour. Below you find a list, in no particular order, of our favorites. Check out the map below for exact locations.
If you have a favorite taco truck, please don't keep it a secret -- share the love! Drop us a line and let us know where it's at so we can spread the taco word.
Viva Mexico Taqueria
17615 US-301, Summerfield, FL 34491
This taco truck has been a staple in the area for XX years. What makes it stand out is the pavilion they've built, so not only is there ample seating, but shelter from the sun -- and should you need a taco during a down-pour (it is Florida after-all) -- the rain.
For the street-taco uninitiated, the Viva Mexico tacos don't automatically come with cheese. They are completely delicious without the dairy, but should you prefer a little shred atop your tortilla, all you have to do is ask.
Hands down, these are our favorite marinated pork tacos in the area. Our only regret here is that it took us so log to give it a try.
You'll know you're close on Highway 301 when you see large flags waving on the northbound side of the road.
